What is a is a Hobie Cat?
A hobie, also known as a catamaran is a vessel, usually propelled by sail, formed of two hulls or floats held side by side
by a frame above them.
Hobies originated the 1960's. Hobie Alter created the first ever hobie, and revolutionized the sailing world forever. Since
then, Hobie has continued growing in numbers and popularity.
There are over 100,000 hobies sailing the world today. They all belong to numerous Yacht club and hobie fleets all over
the United States, and the world.
